hi gini, I’m not surprised. poor mom, would you please post the death of snooty, the oldest living manatee. He was 69 and two days ago, Florida Museum had a Birthday party for this amazing manatee. Yesterday, he was found dead, not from a disease, not from a boat hit, but rather from human error. Someone was negligent in closing off an area where snooty was not allowed. It was open and he wandered in and drowned. Such a tragedy. see you next week and I look forward to long chats. x x x

Yes, another tragedy. Thank you for making sure we knew about it. Another death of a captive marine mammal caused by human incompetence. See GNN’s SeaWorld/Captivity News page for more.

I love your Blog. You should tweet some of your information. I am anti captivity all the way and don’t understand how we can treat these intelligent and emotional creatures with such cruelty. You have an important and wonderful cause!

Thank you so much, Angela! Many other good people also oppose and are tweeting about and working to educate the public about captivity. I’ve named and linked to some of them in previous posts. You remind me that I need to do a list of favorites for all to see. Coming soon! In the meantime, have you read Death at SeaWorld by David Kirby? I recommend it.
