The moon will reach peak fullness at 8:37 a.m. EDT on Saturday 3/31.
If skies are clear, we can all view it Saturday night.
What makes this full moon special:
1. It’s the second full moon in one month — called a Blue Moon.
2. It’s the second Blue Moon of 2018. The first was in January.
Blue Moons themselves are rare. We won’t see another until October 2020.
Two Blue Moons in one calendar year is extremely rare.
The last time it happened was in 1999. It won’t happen again until 2037.
So enjoy.
